Hi all,

picked up these from Hamm this weekend.

After a lot of discussion with some american friends, i decided to go for a (hopefully) juvenile 1.1.

I will be registering these with the ESF as soon as.

I don't think they are a species which is kept in the UK so much. Paul (Geomyda) will know if there are many in the UK. I'm very happy with them.

Sorry to be thick but what does it mean when ppl write 1.1 and 1.0.1 after their turtle type?

The numbers refer to the sex of the animal. First number is the males, second females and third unknown, so for example 1 male and 3 female would be 1.3
zekee and sue25muskturtle like this.

If you love doing something, you make the time, and to be honest, it doesn't take all that long. I'm quite sad that I don't go out "partying". I spend quite some time just watching these animals and enjoying them. Honestly, they are a pleasure to care for.

Not big at all. These are just under 10cm's.

The largest weighing in at 74g, the smaller 70g.

Thanks

Still they are not very big turtles.

As I don't want to ruin your thread I will stop asking questions!
