Default A long overdue update on my Royal python Ra

Hullo, I have been lurking around the forum for a few months now, some of you might remember how and why i first came here, basically I was an idiot and nearly caused the death of my first ever snake
http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/snake...oved-look.html
Anywho, i haven't really posted anything recently about Ra, so for anyone who is interested, here you go:
(will try to post pics in order from earliest to latest)

when he escaped a few months ago:

(viv set up now)

(hide removed to actually see him lol)

(yes, i have since cleaned up the urate and washed the stone lol, stupidly took pics BEFORE the clean out, instead of AFTER *face/palm*)
He's feeding on weaner (i think) rats (about 60g) every 7 days now, hardly ever misses a feed. Shedding brilliantly, i chuck in a moist moss hide when he goes blue until he sheds.
Weighs in at 639g, empty (last weighed 3 weeks ago).
All in all I think he's doing well

Ever since I joined this forum I have built up a network of friends who i can go to for advice and i would like to say a personal thanks to each of them. (some are from here, some from another forum)

Wolfspirit
Wohic
Blackecho
Paulusworm
Gingerpony
Beguana
Lee b (the brave man who emailed me and made me aware of the true condition of Ra)
Lewy
Kazerella
Dazzetski
James boa
Matty18714
Optikal
Dazb
Incrisis (mostly for his amusing facebook status')
There may be more, and i am very sorry if i have missed you from the list, it does not mean you are not appreciated.
Also a huge thanks to the rest of you on here who have made me feel welcome here, had a laugh with me and not made me feel like a total waste of skin
Because of the forums I have learned so much about taking care of my snakes (of which I have more now) and i continue to learn more each day.
Not a day goes by where I do not feel ashamed with myself for my treatment of Ra, and it is down to the people above for educating me sufficiently to improve everything.
I am sorry for such a long post, I just felt the need to update on his condition lol

I did watch as this was all happening at the time, Cat you have come so far, and im very proud of your progress you have gone from a caring person who had no experiance in reptiles to a very understanding person who listens to advice, and can even give it!

We all make misstakes with our reptiles but if your willing to learn like cat has you will become a great reptile keeper!

Good luck in the future with this little guy

tbh I didn't start this thread with the intention of getting nice comments like you've all left (not that I am not greatful of course lol), but just to show that he is improving and to thank all who've helped Ra (and myself) out
