Default FBH granted leave for Judicial Review

In the Royal Courts of Justice in London today the Federation of British Herpetologists (FBH) has been granted leave for a Judicial Review against Arun District Council (ADC). Mr Justice Leggatt’s ruling was clear and empathic, to the point where ADC withdrew contesting the application. The full hearing will now proceed at a later date.

The Judicial Review has been brought by the FBH in response to Arun District Council stopping the Portsmouth Reptile & Amphibian Society (PRAS) show due to be held on the 27th of October last year at Fontwell Racecourse following advice from the Animal Protection Agency.

A full statement will be issued shortly, but this is exceedingly good news for those who support shows and there is finally light at the end of the tunnel which could see an end in sight to the long running problems caused by Animal Rights extremists interfering with legitimate events.

i think the APA wins over politicians with alarmist, sensationalised misinformation...
but when presented with a clear, logical case by experts, i'm sure the law will fall on the side of animal enthusiasts.
of course this doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best to ensure that organisations like the APA don't have any ammunition in future, but i think we're going the right way already.
Nice there's some light at the end of the tunnel, good news.

Although I don't condone antagonisation of any extremist group, who will be the first to write a ' how'd you like them apples' on the APA Facebook page.

Haha, they usually remove comments like these quite sharpish and then ban the offending person.

I suppose if 10's or 100's of people all did it at the same time they'd at least have something to keep them occupied for a while.

Maybe, but they have succeeded in stopping a number of shows. All hypocrites though....Half eat meat and the rest own pets.
