Fantastic idea!
I've been meaning to put a shelf in with my Woma but was worried about strength and supports that she cant wrap around to make it more difficult to get her out (though she tends to just come out when i open up anyway...)
Now i've seen this i just might steal the idea in the near future

Another idea i saw from Coldestblood was to screw in a RUB to the ceiling of the viv.

I put a shelf in for my bearded dragon when I built her viv, main reason was toi use a bit of the height I gave her, she loves it though if it gets a tad too hot for her and goes underneath it as it gives her a touch of shade, she may use it as a hide too, if not she is normally on top of it basking.

It can! here is the adult boa viv I was on about. This has been set up for years now and these branches carry the weight of my huge girl

This was when it was first set up....... the only difference is it has a second thicker branch alongside the the thinner one now days....and the boa is a lot bigger

I would have put another branch from the first to second shelf, but she doesn't need it as she can reach the top shelf without one

Fantastic idea, I really do like it.

How does your BRB's take to shelves?

My BRB is in the lounge and although I appreciate they are shy, I would love him to be more on display....maybe a shelf of some kind may be the answer.

My BRB loved hers (but she was very shy and I would only spot her or hear her in the night on it lol)

I would put on in - I'm sure they will be used, I don't have a snake that doesn't love them!
