Default LED recommendations

I'm noticing the compact fluorescents are giving off too much heat in some of my tanks, which house snakes which require cooler temps. Can anyone point me in the direction of some LED solutions. I'm after a natural white daylight look, as bright as possible. Thanks

I'm using sets from Ikea and they're excellent.

I bought mine from a guy/company that advertise on here - good enough sets but I figured that if I bought all the bits individually of ebay I could of saved a packet!

Bit of both. I have 2ft vivs that I use only one in and then I use 2 in my 4fts. I have a large arboreal enclosure (4x2x4) that Iuse a full set of 4 in.

I got mine from reptiles-ink on here.

Fully programmable to come on dim and gradually brighten over a set time, a bit like sunrise
Then at night they gradually dim, a bit like sunset.

Mine are set to come on at 2% then over an hour they go to 20%, which is plenty bright enough, then later over an hour they dim back to off.
As the white lights dim down, blue ones start to come on for a few hours, then they dim down gradually to off so it's completely dark at night

Depends on how many led strips you get and how long each strip is.
I got 6 double strips each with white and blue lights so 12 strips in total for 6 vivs, each strip is 12 inches long.
All the strips connect to one control unit.

I bought 3 sets and I think they were something like £80 a set, give or take.
Can't remember exactly.
