Knocked on our door a few times, they sort of shut up about the stray dog wlking around up near the shops skinny dehydrated and malnourished they had been phoned about so many times, no help came from them at all.

Having said that, I think it depends on the area, some areas have to raise their own funds.

Place I work RSPCA are always bringing some reptile or another too.
Some areas I hear have specific RSPCA rescues for reptiles, but they have to fund themselves.

I had four visits from the RSPCA asking for donations over a week period!

I often have them knocking at the door wanting what they call donations. If they wanted a donation I MAY consider but when they start insisting that they have to set up a direct debit and the minimum I can pay is X amount a month I tell them to go away politely Besides which I have reported animal cruelty to them in the past and they do bugger all about it.

Oh and while we are on the subject their TV adverts bug me. Why is it always cute little kittens, mistreated cats, and dogs that have been beaten or starved featured in them. What about all the other species of animals they supposedly rescue. They need a mention as well. It really really me off.

I feel better getting that off my chest

Thumbs up

I appreciate the great work the RSPCA does for animal welfare. Do not let a small number of the less than educated ones taint the good work done by the majority. The more they knock on doors or the more they shake the tins then the more they raise to protect the animals we love.

Its a massive shame that there are so many people in this country who abuse and neglect animals, and that the problem is so large that the RSPCA is forced to beg for money to try and cope with the problem.

shows how big a scale the problem is - everything is relative, 120million isnt allot of money if you need 500 million
