My pair of Crawl Cays wouldn't eat for a month when I got them & then only the male would eat for a further month. Even then, for the next 6 months they only fed on/off as & when they felt like, sometimes only taking American White-footed mice, sometimes only rat pups. It was 9 months before I got both of them feeding regularly on mice.
I've had boas refuse food. Most of the time they go to it again a few days after I warm them up a little.
IMO, the single most common reason for a boa to go off food is that he's too cold. The ultimate care guide for boa constrictors may help you. Free download at RedTailBoas.com Main Menu - The Front Page.
