Default Post laying weight increase

Today is day 48 since my female lesser pastel dropped her clutch of 9 eggs. Other than a three week period when in shed, she has been eating most weeks.

As part of my record keeping I weighed her through-out the breeding process, and as she defecated on Thursday took the opportunity to weigh her empty this morning. In 48 days her weight has increased 351g. Personally I find that quite something! OK she's not at her 2.2kg pre breeding weight, but at 1969g it won't be long at this rate

I saw your video of her on YouTube, let's hope these eggs will hatch!

Is she the same Royal who tried to eat the big rat?

The eggs are doing fine... day 56 is only a week away so we'll know in 7-10 days

No that was my other royal, she's a fair bit larger than the one that laid the eggs

I see now. How many Royals do you have? Are these the only ones, or are there others?

Also, She's a pretty looking royal, I hope the babies will take after her

Thanks,

I have three Royals, a lesser male, a normal and a lesser pastel female, and a boa. This pairing was the lesser to lesser pastel, and if the odds gods are good to me I could get a nice Blue Eyed Lucy.... Day 55 and they are dimpling a fair bit, but no pipping yet

A Blue eyed Lucy sounds pretty! Hopefully you'll get one, I love unusual colours and markings on snakes

Thanks, I remembered seeing a Royal and I saw your boa in the Outdoor pics thread that Richardhind made.
