Western Hognose Q

Hi has anyone else's Hognose stopped eating again?

Last year our Hognose stopped eating around the end of Oct & didn't bother again until Feb?.

We have not purposely invoked brumation but put it down to it's natural instinct.
She has again started to refuse feed, (when feeding she was very alert for it), it is a few weeks earlier than last year but last summer was a hot long one so could she simply be going into Brumation?,
We do not control the temps to try this as we have no plans to breed & all temps are as required.
Thanks for your input in advance guys. Regards Graham.

She's ready to brumate. Brumation is not part of breeding it's part of their lifecycle. Simply reduce the heat and hours of light until she's down to around 15 C. Keep her dark, check weekly for water, and leave her at 10-15 for three months. Then warm back up and she'll be feeding brilliantly.
