Default Snake

Hello I just got my first corn snake from a family who had it from a baby. Every time I tried to handle it it looks like it tried to stick or it hisses at me. It's not moving alot like cornsnaks are ment to. I just want to know when it's ok to handle it. I hope it is a corn snake and not some deadly breed lol.
Thanks

You need to let it settle in, it will be very stressed, don't disturb it for etleest a week.
There are no breeds of snake, it's 'species' and if you upload a picture we will be able to confirm for you. Which country are you in? If its UK, I highly doubt it will be a dangerous species.

Ok... I'm rubbing my crystal ball...wait... I see something.... no its gone... cant see an image of the snake to confirm its a cornsnake.... Maybe if the person asking the question uploads an image of the snake, furnishes us with details of how the snake is being kept, the type of heating used, the temperatures and how they are monitoring them, we might be able to formulate a serious reply

Surely you must know what a corn looks like in comparison with other species, let alone venomous ones?
