I need one big enough for a Crawl Cay boa and i want a clear one. I'm just double checking with the seller how big she is and then we'll see. Just to quarantine her.:2thumb:
Can you stack RUBs? if you put the ventilation holes on the sides, and then had a heatmat between each one - or would you need to make a rack so each had a shelf to sit on?
Yup, you can stack em, I find they work best in a rack system, with no lids on the rubs for ventilation along with front and back vents/holes heated individually or on a cable system.
thanks for all the help guys but i have just been informed that because she is still dinky i can keep her in my Royals old viv.
Which saves me hassle, still considering getting some tho...they really are useful.:2thumb:
Thanks Young Gun. I have very limited space to sit vivs/rubs etc, but lots of vertical space! Knowing that these can be stacked could mean more animals in the collection!
Yeah but they have different sites for the different countries so that doesn't really make a difference. I checked the 145 litre RUB and that came out to 2ft3 long, seems a bit small for being 145 litre's. Large contico's have more length to them.
not sue if anyone has these stacked but i was wondering how they'd set them up with heat/stats etc? wouldn't most of them end up with a heat mat above and below them?
If you use them in a rack system, the wood will stop most of the heat transfer, most racks are on 'levels' with each level controlled by a stat.
