Thankyou, it's been a very long wait! But well worth it in the end. I think barnecks are the most impressive of all the scrubs, with Oksibils coming a close second.

Thanks. She was bred in Italy by an English ex-patriate.

I bought a young female Sorong Bar-neck at the Doncaster show a couple of weeks ago.
She's a shade over 5' and feeds really well. To date I've only been nailed three times!!! Although, in her defence she's absolutely fine when she's out of the viv, actually, no, that's a lie 'cos she'd been out a little while last night when she decided to give my wrist a taste test

Stuart, she is beautiful. Do you have any background info on her? Or any full body shots?

I think what is sometimes referred to as "viv defensiveness" is actually more an expression of how a scrub's mind works. Being so alert, when in a stable position they have a kind of prey drive, which is why they strike when something enters their viv (not because they are territorial) and why they often lock onto something when being handled (such as your wrist, perhaps!), whereas when they are kept moving they are fine.

I have no background info on her at all...............Roy Taylor (Young gun) knows the person I got her off, so he may be able to shed a little light on things. I'll try to get a full body shot of her today.
She is totally alert as soon as the viv is opened, but sometimes she'll just wait and see what's coming, other times she just goes for it regardless. I do try to keep her moving when she's out and certainly keep her head pointed away from me at all times!!

Full body shot as requested

Again, she is a beautiful snake.

Thankfully my girl is more of a runner than a fighter at the moment, making it a whole lot easier to entice her out of the viv.
