Default what type of bulb

hi when useing a bulb to heat the cage at night does it need to be a reptail bulb or can it be a 100wat blue or red bulb

I try to use the red bulbs with the thick covering on them.

ASDA have them i think.

I would opt for the ceramic heaters that fit the bulb holders. they give off no light but plenty of heat.

CanI (love the name ) I agree with you. Get a ceramic overhead with a good guard. Most pythons are nocturnal anyway, so why stress them any more than needed with artificial light. If you want to watch them, stay up late and put a subuded light on in the room - or am I being too concernned again

lol i looked at the lightbulbs we have in work tonight and we have 1 kind of red and a blue type an also ones called nightime bulbs.
like 3 quid or less
