Default Microclimate AHS heater

Looking into getting a 500w ahs in the near future. Just wandering will they provide a basking spot for a 6x4x4 or 6x2x2 havent decide on which size yet. or will i have to use extra heating to do this. All advice appreciated. Pete

In theory they can manage a 6x4x4 (or bigger) but the people I know who have them find they work better in a 6x3x3 or under (like the 6x2x2 as you suggested.

I have a couple of 500w ones. Liking them very much

i have a 6.5x3x3 and it works fine! if you get a 60 watt house light bulb at then hot end it tends to give the ahs a helping hand in the day
