im not sure but the pinkies dont really show much of a lump when swallowed as they did a month ago and only last between 12-24 hours at the most. im just abit woried that they aren't getting enough neutrients to grow at a normal rate

we are thinking of putting our corn onto fuzzies, but the size dif between a pinke and a fuzzie seems huge.

Have you got any pictures of your snake?

How big are the pinks compared to the width of the snake? I'd say try feeding 2 pinks for the next few feeds and if they manage these fine then to move up.

Stheno was onto Fuzzies by about 4/5 months of age.

im not too sure what they weigh and yes i know that rule of thumb from extensive research before purchasing the snakes, but thanks anyway. well just to give you a better idea of things, after i have fed my corn snakes and waited for the pinky to go down, there isnt really a lump like there used to be, there is still a small lump buts its not as noticable, also when they had their first feed with me it took a good 15 mins maybe more before they had completely devoured the pinky but now its gone in a bout 2mins so i presume that the pinkys are now too small or just the right size
i really appreciate everyones help on this!

I thought the same too, You'd be suprised how much they can eat though. I had a bag of Fuzzies and there was quite a range of size between them. Go for one of the smaller ones and it should be fine, snakes are rather stretchy when it comes to munch down big meals

no sorry no pics as of yet, will try to get some up asap. it seems like multiple pinkies is the answer. should i try a fuzzy to see how they manage? i think they should be ok with that, but with so little experience i want to be sure!

I am used to my boas and carpet wolfing down prey that you would think impossible, its just that the corn seems so thin!!

I have 6 pinkes left so am going to give him tree for the next 2 feeds then try him on a fuzzie when they are gone. He is about 14" long and seems well proportioned, not fat, not thin.
