Is there any breeders for theese on the isle of wight or portsmouth area?
If so how much are your hatchlings and will you have any later on in the year? : victory:
cheerz people
There will be more for diffrent reptiles soon x
average i've seen is about £300-£450 from shops at least, Hoggs are extinct in the wild (so i've read) so are naturally going to be a little be harder to get hold of.
are there any other boa's of this size that people can reccomend?
as much as I would love a red-tail, they do get slightly too big.
hog island boas are endangerd but are stable in the wild at the min with the conservation efforts
other boas of same size inc
central american boas
honduran boas
crawl cay boas
corn island boas
just to name a few there are a lot more
you are looking about £100-£500 for babies depending on quality and blood line behind the snakes and the average size you are looking is around 6ft some of the original imports were touching 8ft
great choice of snake..:flrt:your looking at 4-5 feet standard for a Hogg Island Boa, but like many others, the odd exceptions do occur. They were believed to be extinct since the 1980s but a few were spotted in 2005 so there is hope for them still! A lot of breeders are tending to mix them, therefore I strongly recommend doing some solid research to find a breeder who breeds 'pure' hoggs (usually comes with the paperwork) and go from there..I know of a place near Guildford which breeds good Hogg Islands if your willing to travel..
