Default who keeps Japanese Green Ratsnakes?

Just got one from a freind of mine, and she's stunning, and the tamest snake i've saw for her size and being a rat snake.
Who else keeps em?
Will get some pics uploaded tommorow, once ive fed her
John

You've just got her, going to feed her then get some photos. Just leave her for a week without any stress to get settled before you do any of these things.
If you mean Japanese Rats (climacophora), I keep them.

We've kept them in the past. Had a nice adult male...but had to sell him on when we cut back on our stock.

We were looking for an adult female to pair with him...but they're not commonly seen snakes and it proved very difficult.

I have a gorgeous pair from Kunashir Island which have the most intense blue heads and green bodies I've ever seen for this species. They're easily one of my pride and joys and some of my favourite snakes in my collection. Unfortunately they're siblings...

They're very tame but tend to "go where they want to go" when handled (like most rat snakes) and have an insane feeding response, even striking at food from behind the glass.

Francis
