Default move up???

my male royal is around 2ft now should he be moved to a 3ft tabk yet???

Most people would say no but all snakes are different, some like big enclosures, others feel insecure in big enclosures.
You can try it if you like, just keep an eye on it and make sure you keep it's current Viv/Rub empty incase you have any problems.

As above I you couldgive it a go and if he/she stops feeding just swap back or you could put loads of hides and decor in to make him feel more secure.

simple answer is NO...
if your 2' measurement is accurate, snakey is only about 3-400gr

I agree with Jcz that you could try it and see, it depends on the royal and how timid it is.

Started keeping herps in 1945.
Reptile keeper continuously for 48 years.
Keeping Rainbow Boa, albino Honduran Milk, both bred.
Also bred Corns, Carpet Pythons, Nelsons Milks, beardies, Leopard Geckos, Cresties, Ackies, and in the 1970s grey, yellow and black ratsnakes.

my 09s are in 3ft vivs but there is about 6 hides in each viv and ive got them cluttered quite a bit .

I would try it in its new viv but be prepared to move it back if it doesn't feed within a couple of weeks, and make sure there are plenty of hides.
