Cutting open eggs

Actually very common practice, as he mentions he has waited and it has gone past the due time so he is cutting the eggs that have yet to pip, you can see the eggs have caved in. The idea is why risk a snake just because the egg was too thick or the egg tooth has broken off. What I dont agree with is him pulling them part out to have a look at what they are. Most just slit have a peep and then leave them too it.

I was getting quite annoyed by this comment

well i personally think cutting eggs open is wrong because in the wild if they are not suppose to make it they wont hatch, but then again i have cut some leopard gecko eggs open because they was 4 weeks overdue and they smelt bad and were brown but the little one was alive but sadly died.

you should never cut open or help a hatchling hatch because its just going to deteriate later on in life.

Erm maybe if you had cut them before hand the one that was alive might have made it.:bash:

I generally slit all my eggs to give the babies a helping hand if they need it. 90% of the time, though, they make their own slits on a completely different part of the egg and emerge through that.
