poly boxs = homes

can you keep royals in poly boxes, obv with a heat mat, prob inside...? if it has vents. Becasue they are non see through, n i think my royals would preferv them.? and no need for substrate realy, it pretty ok...

I wouldnt use one because they need to have a photoperiod of day/night and a non see through poly box wouldnt give this without a light source.

lampropeltis 02-08-2007 06:12 PM

if you could get them with clear lids you would be in business

snakelover 02-08-2007 06:17 PM

yes, i would cut a rectangle out the top, probably 80% of the lid, and put perspex in...

In all honesty i wouldn't .. if your thinking of it because they hold heat well and non see through .... then why not just cover up the tubs you have with black aqaurium backing paper around 3 of the sides leaving one side open for light to come in ;)

How would you keep the lids on?

Anyone now were you can get poly boxes free, and BIG poly boxes too, free, or cheap.

i know people who cool diamond pythons in polly boxes in italy

i dont know how they keep the lid on though unless they use a brick

not very pleasing to the eye : victory:

No substrate even? Personally (but just my opinion of course) I like more naturalistic environments for any reptile. Substrate to burrow and hide under and foliage, hides etc etc. Like I said, that's just me.
