maybe ur hot sides too hot.
what thermometer do u use?
or maybe the cold side is hot enough that he doesnt feel the need to find more warmth.

or that might just be his favorite hide.
i have 3 in my viv but he usually always uses the same 1.

my corns are all very similar the adult female resides in her hide on the hot side and pokes her head out every so often for a nosey, then my two yearlings both stay in there hides and dont seem to ever move unless theres food around or they hear something then there poking there heads out for a good nosey

Corns are very shy in general so it is very normal. That is why people tend to get bored quickly of corns once past the beginer keeping stage.

try cooling the cold end by a few degrees. this should prompt him to seek out a warmer spot.

Welcome to the wonderful world of snake keeping.... I have something around 30 snakes, and of those 30 maybe 10 spend most of their time in the open. My chinese king ratsnake I have never ever seen out- I just care for the RuB

Another point to add, maybe your snake is coming out at night? couple of mine seem to only come out at night. I know this as everything has moved by the morning lol..... snakes can be sneaky little things at times lol
