Default Adder (Vipera Berus) - Tiny?

Just had a look at some vids on youtube and there's only one when you can really tell the size of it compared to a human hand and its tiny. Almost slow worm size. Are they really that small?

biggest ive ever had here was about 18ins. pretty small but not to be trifled with. good fun though.

i have seen an adult female at 20 inches....that is HUGE!

Babies can be as small as 4 inches at birth.
