Default Komodo Snake Starter Kit....Opinions please

Hey everyone.
Regarding my post in the beginner thread, i've been looking at some starter kits and I was wondering people's opinions on these or whether they would still be recomending a RUB. Bear in mind that i'm planning on getting a hatchling and as such have been reccomended that I don't get a fully sized viv.
The thing I'm thinking of is that all the stuff WITH the rub like thermostat, heat mat or any kind of heating, substrate, hiding cave would more or less come to the same price.

Komodo Adult Snake Terrarium Starter Kit: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home

Let me know your opinions please. Thanks xxxx

you'd still need a thermostat for that one too

A rub would be cheaper as you still need a thermostat with that setup

What snake are you getting?

And it depends what size rub you get

Are you planning on moving it into a viv when it is an adult?

Either way I would stick to the rub as it would be cheaper

It depends on your preference. The snake would be happy in either a viv or a rub as long as you set it up correctly.
Personally, I think RUBS are ugly, and have never used them. For hatchling snakes I have used Perfecto Fish tanks, Exo-Terra cubes and the exo-terra faunariums. I like the look of them better, I like being able to see in clearly.

Rubs are a lot cheaper though. It's up to you what you want to get.

I also don't really like 'starter kits' or any kind, I prefer putting the kit together myself so I can pick all the things I want/need myself.

I personally don't like Komodo products. I would go with the cheaper rub option. But it depends how much money you want to spend
