Default ok, very mixed reports!!!

hi,i have been browsing for info about mexican black kingsnakes as you probably know from previous posts and some websites claim that they grow up to 8 foot and others say 3-5 foot. am confuzzld now!!!

i don't usually go on internet information because not alot of it is accounted for whilst books are checked for errors and such like before publication but i have heard very good thinks about this website and a few others. so i am giving it a whizz.

thanks
adam

I think the average size off a mexi black is about 5 foot, Tempted in buying one myself was going to a while back but got my trio of black rats instead.

basically some snakes in the past have exceeded normal adult size just like tall people. the average size for a MBK is between 4-6 foot i would put money on this. the MBK is a medium sized snake which does not require huge space like a larger heavier boa or python would. six foot isnít that uncommon in kings but its not set in stone.

Wouldnt the requirements be fairly similiar to other kings? Sorry if this is wrong..not exactly an expert lol. For a 6 foot snake though I would guess 3-4 foot viv?

Yeah must be 5-6ft..general king size.. not heard of many growing over 6ft but you never know with some. Mexi blacks are lovely snakes...good choice..should have waited 3 years for me to breed them though

I would say they tend to be around 5 1/2 foot. I have one but she is still only small. Brilliant feeder though, she puts up an impressive performance. Dunno if thats just mine or what
