Rats Vs Mice??

I know mice are the recommended food for corns as opposed to rats, but why?
I`ve heard from several people that rats are more substantial and have a higher nutritional value, but are more fatty, yet some people say mice are more fatty and better for them? Is it a problem if an adult "dodgy" feeder will more readily take rat pups than mice and has them as her staple diet? She is underweight so if rats are more fatty they won`t hurt her right? Or are mice more fatty?
It seems many people have many different views on this. If rats are so bad then why are they called ratsnakes?

The rest do have mice, but she won`t touch them. Opinions please!

Rat PUPS have much less calcium than a mouse of similar weight.

However, beyond that concern, I wouldn't think that a rat should pose a problem for a snake that won't eat mice.

That said... our domesticated rats are a lot fattier than the ones that a wild rat snake would be eating :)

You could do that, or you could see if she'll take a rat that's developing fur - once they start getting fuzzy, their bones are calcifying.
