Question Branches from the woods, what to avoid.

My in-laws are coming up to stay and they live next to a huge wood. If I ask them to bring some branches with them is there any tree to avoid?

Pine trees - evergreen and fir etc and cedar. The sap in the woods is toxic.
Most stuff you'll find are ok and once washed thoroughly will be fine.
Fruit tree branches are the best, apple, cherry and grape etc.

Do not use Cherry wood It's high in Cyanide and it will leach out slowly. It's a known no no for parrots and other birds as well.

Cheers John

Apparently there is a lot of Sycamore, as no-ones mentioned it I presume it's safe.
