Hi
I bought mine of one of the middle tables of a bald guy who was with 2 other blokes. He was right next to the German guy who was also selling hog noses.

too!!! who did you buy it from at donny? i don't think it's the breeders fault! just curious lol.

When i asked on here people told me to down size the rub, higher the temps and i done that, no success! i personaly think a month is way too long for a baby hognose to go without food! how much does yours weigh???

someone told me to try scent with salmon

sorry i'm not much help, just wanted to reasure you your not the only one going through it lol.

My hognose stops eating if the day length changes, last time the clocks went forward I mucked up altering its timer and it didn't eat for 7 weeks. The lights do not heat the viv and the temps remained constant. Just a thought if the light is irregular it might be disturbing it.

I know you know your hogs Gregg so please don't think I'm questioning your knowledge ...but I honestly don't buy that this snake never fed before or wasn't established.
The thing is, with an established feeder hognose snake, if you try to feed it too much, it will eat too much... I can handle every single hatchling right before feeding them and they eat... Every established feeder I have ever gotten from a breeder ate righ out of the shipping box after being in transit for atleast 8 hours...

If the snake had come from Penfold, I would not believe it was not an established feeder either, but it was not from Terry and we have no idea who sold the snake to the OP... So it is very possible and even likely it was not an established feeder and was pretty much sold off because the breeder did not want to put the work in to making it an eastablished feeder...

No worries about questioning my knowledge buddy...

I have a similar problem but my female Hoggie is about 16 inches and hasnít eaten since I got her which is about 10 days (not that long I now). How long can she go without feeding before I get worried? The male (similar size) has had two good feeds.

Was thinking this myself, the shows rules state that the breeder should give their details out with every sale.
