Exclamation body starts to jump when put with another snake ?? HELP !

hello everyone i have a few snakes and want to put two together in the same tank its a 5 ft viv with plenty of hides and vines to keep them occupied. i introduced the two corn snakes together for a few days b4 putting them in the tank and they was fine together pulling themselves around each other not really bothered by anything so i put them in together for the first time yesterday and they was fine for a few minutes but after that one of the snakes body started to jump every few seconds as if it was fitting so i put my hand in and removed him and he stopped as if nothing was wrong and so i tried again an the same thing happened. at the moment they are separated but would like them in together if i can . dose anybody know what this body jumping is all about ?? any help would b much appreciated

You probably have a male and a female there, as its breeding season. Males (and sometimes the females too) move their bodies in a jerking motion as courtship before breeding. So unless you want eggs I would keep them seperately.
Burmtastic and kris1988 like this.

I don't think you need to probe! Your shaking one will be the male and the other one the female
