Default Escape-proofing and decorations

So, since I'm still wanting to know more about how to make a good setup for little retics, do you lot have any recommendations on vivs or other setups for tiny snakes? I'm looking into Madu retics obviously, and I'm wondering about escape-proofing when they're babies as they'd try to get out of holes that contain wires and stuff.

I also want to know if the paint on aquarium decorations in general is snake-safe because I saw some that would make very nice hides.
ON HIATUS...busy sorting things out...
