Default In a bit of a panic, my Royal seems swollen!

Hello all!

I've just got my lad out for the first time in a week or two since i've been so busy with college work recently, so i've not seen his size when not pressed against the floor of his rub.

As soon as i got him out, it looked like he had grown.

At first, i thought this might have been due to him having a large rat last feed, and he may have needed a poo, but once i lifted him i noticed he had already had a poo and buried it, along with his shed, the little git!

But after that, i began to worry as usual lol.

I've had a feel up and down him and it seems, erm... baloony underneath?

I've asked my GF when the reptile vet is in, and it wont be until after xmas she doesn't think.

Sorry if i'm sketchy with the details, i've run over to my aunties to use the internet, to consult people with more knowledge than myself!

Thanks for any responses in advanced!

Also, i will be taking pics and uploading first thing in the morning, probably very early as i doubt i'll be sleeping!

EDIT: I have also had him in a warm bath incase there was any poo that needed to come out... none surfaced!

I also thought he was hissing at me in the bath, but it sounded like he was just breathing... My instant thought was RI. How could this have happened if nothing has changed environment wise? could the rat i fed him have been a bad rat or anything?

Thanks again.

Do you think it's just more poo?

It seems to be from about a third down him to the bottom, obviously tipping off on the end of his tail, the swelling that is!

Also, could this be stress induced? my cat was harassing him yesterday, i found her on top of his rub, the little swine!

Thanks for the response

The hissing/breathing could be water in his nose from the bath. That use to be my boas favourite trick, dunk her head in the bowl then blow bubbles at me

Just sounds like he needs another poo, but you can always stick some pics up in the morning for your own piece of mind, I'm sure he'll be fine

I had the same thing with my boa, and also posted as I was a bit worried. 2 days later she dropped a dog size log and again the week after. My nose had only just healed from the smell of the first turd and then I end up having to negotiate the removal of a second. It wasn't fun I tell you..

Swelling at 1/3rd body length from tail, after shed?? Interesting - how sure are you he is a "he", and has he been with any other Royals this year? When did you get "him"?

I went home and saw condensation, i've never been happier to see it!

He'd passed a large bit of white stuff, urates or w/e?

Either way, he'd passed that, but no poo!

PICS:

Does he look normal to you lot?

Thanks

EDIT: his underside still seems a little spongey(?) i'm not sure how it's meant to feel lol!
