Try putting her into a warm damp pillowcase, tie the end, pop her into a rub and have it either sitting a little on top of a heat mat or pop the rub inside the viv (if she's in a viv) and leave her for an hour or so, this kinda acts like a sauna and the moisture really penetrates through the skin and she should then rub off the eye caps herself & if this doesn't work you can buy visco or gel tears from the chemits and apply either one or two drops daily, this is another way to get retained eye caps off.

A couple of hours in a warm damp pillowcase(in rub or viv) or put some viscotears(availiable from your chemist) on it , leave for an hour then put some more on, that should do it. If it is really stubborn dont try and pick it off unless you know how,it should come off on the next shed.
Bah, i type too slow

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention I have put her in a pillow case but not for that long. Ill give it a go and see what happens. If not ill get some gel. I did try to gently pick it of but not much success.

If an hour doesn't do the job you could try it again tomorrow for an hour and a half or 2 hours.

If its just the eyes and not retained body shed then theres no need for the pillowcase. Viscotears is good as is gel tears. I had to deal with a few bad sheds with retained eyecaps when i tried a new substrate. I put a blob of your everyday normal vaseline (not one of the tinned ones with scents in them) on each eye morning and night.....eyecaps fell before the second day was over
Itchyscales and AilsaM like this.

Vaseline! It seems to stay on the eye better and for longer if you put a decent sized blob on
