Snake flattening body

Does anyone know what it means if your snake is flatenning its body or looks to be sucking its stomach in and is curled up ...Ive made an appointment with the vets but its late in the afternoon .....is there anything i can do for him until then, hes in a warm clean RUB inside a vivarium atm and had some water last night....

Could it perhaps be trying to adsorb more heat? Adders are famous for flattening there body out like this.

As terry said, most snakes can do it when threatened, i had a burm that would go flat as a pancake when you did anything in its viv or even walked past.

you could always cover the rub or vivarium with a towel for a couple of days to give it a bit more security. good luck
