The Pinky Pump Looms!

So on the 6th of this month, I hatched a clutch of 16 Corns. After waiting until they'd had their first shed, I started with the feeding, which was mostly a success - most tentatively struck fed, leaving only a few that didn't

Over the last 2 feeds, the last few have taken a feed or two... leaving just one. Stubborn #7, who seems more interested in jumping out of the tub or darting to the other end and curling up in fear, remaining like that until I remove the pinkie.

If he doesn't behave soon, it's time for the dreaded...

Don't worry, I'm not panicking yet (I'm a patient soul) - I just like to be prepared, whilst I whisper softly "it's your way, or my way" into his... ear...

I was intended to leave it until 6 weeks after the first shed before resorting to any drastic measures.

Your a donut if you are considering a pinky pump at this time already. After two to three months of no feeding then maybe but even then there are better methods than that contraption.

Hush hush James, you're taking me too seriously my friend. But (if or when the time comes) I'd rather use a pinky pump over force feeding - I'm a little bit too ham fisted for the delicate necks of hatchling corns.

But fear not - I have much to try before then, but I'm sure he'll see sense soon... when he sees the pinky pump across the room

pinkie pumps are baaaaaaaaaaaad news, but so is force feeding IMO

if it doesn't eat here, it dies.
