![]() I just saw this story on my local news website.
I honestly can't believe how some people react to and report about escaped snakes....The poor thing must have been terrified! Aggressive snake slithers down chimney and attacks police in Abbey Wood home (From News Shopper)

![]() (shakes head sadly) Some people will believe anything...
Mind, king snakes really can, will, and do eat rattlesnakes if the opportunity arises. So I'm sure there is excellent reason for all the free-roaming wild rattlesnakes that are so immensely common in the UK to be terrified at the thought of a loose king snake. And, wow, it "opened its mouth and showed its fangs". Those long, venom-dripping, terrifying fangs of the king snake, that we have all seen brutally rending the flesh of innocent victims *right here on RFUK*, my gods, that must have been *such* a terrifying thing to see! I'm amazed they didn't mention the tail-rattling, which is a sure sign that a king snake is about to sink its humongous fangs six inches deep into your carotid artery, undoubtedly after having already crept out of your chimney once to size you up in your sleep. Nice snake, though, wonder if the wildlife rescue centre named in the article would appreciate the offer of a good home for it? |

![]() Absolutely ridiculous! and who took the pictures? staging it so they all appeared terrified which has backfired as they look like a group of 'Spanners' staring at a chimney for no apparent reason. It must have been a slow news day because this is crap.

![]() Not everyone likes snakes, and infact more people are scared of them than not. And news papers will write anything to sell a story, I thought THAT was common knowledge ![]() |
