Well what a horrible horrible morning I've had.
Was waitingl patiently for my new baby Jungle Corn to arrive, I couldnt sleep last night with excitement.
Anyway at 8.15 am it arrived, I was thrilled untill I opened the box, 1 tiny baby snake, ice cold to the touch and apparantly dead, I spent the next 30 minutes with him cupped in my hands fearing the worst.
I jumped as i felt movement, and started to hope that he could be ok.
Anyway ive spent all day on a vigil, and the gorgeous little fella is shooting around his rub without a care in the world.
I rang the supplier and they were great, been in contact all day and very concerned.
I was TNT who nearly took the life of my snake, you wont believe what they did....
I also had 50 pinks coming with the snake, and some bright f$#@#$ decided to tape my snake box ontop of my 50 pinks which were in a massive ice pack
Thats the problem with using couriers like TNT or Target or Parcel Force etc, they specialise in delivering packages to where you want them to go,that is it!!
You need a company that specialises in the transportation of live goods, on here I've heard of a few , rep taxi etc, and there are other companies out there that will transport any pet/animal.
Personally i prefer to pick up myself, then theres no-one to blame unless the animal was already ill before I got it!: victory:
Yep, first and last time i ever use a courier( I wrongly assumed that the courier would take special care) . I wouldnt care it was clearly printed on the box that it contained a reptile, and also to keep the packages seperate.:bash:
Surely it wasn't TNT who packed up your snake and pinkies? If the snake had been properly boxed in a thick poly box with a heat pack, 50 pinkies taped to it would have made no difference.
they were told to keep them seperate, but for some reason they taped em together.
The snake was in a plastic tub which was in a poly box with a heat pack, on opening the poly box the bottom of it was freezing, and snake appeared lifeless and freezing cold.
Anyway whoevers fault it was is irellevent now as he's soo gorgeous and most importantly ALIVE:no1:
glad 2 hear he ok...had simialr prob with tnt when when ,y rough greeen snake arrived to me...she wasn't so lucky though...of course when you see 'live' on a box you treat it like its as unbreakable as a mattress...porr girly...i coulda killed the plonk!!!! glad 2 hear your tough little fella ok!!!
Glad hes ok, just goes to show how hardy they are!!
