Same tarantula (bloody name changes). I don't think a healthy tarantula's abdomen could be shaped like that. It'd just burst. Underfed/dehydrated maybe. So long as she's eating she'll soon fire the weight on. Doesn't take them long to put it on.

Too true. I've just got a new edition. I've gone with Haplopelma doriae but she could also be called 2 other bloody names.

Looks like it's been wild caught and spent loads of time in transit or between supplier, dealers, anyway hungry and dehydrated. Not the end I'd the world as you have found you are doing a fixing job nicely

if that's not the case and it's been with a shop or breeder for a while they are a douche for not looking after it properly

I reckon prior to sending to you , it had laid a sac , my other theory was a parasite , but she would not improve as much as she has if it was the latter . I’m going with previously laying a sac combined with dehydration. Unbelievable ,sending out a spider in the post in that condition . Shocking ! there’s know excuse for that , name and shame
