There one of the easiest spiders to visually sex once they’ve got to the large juvenile stage . I will have them in after the 19th of May if that’s of any use

Everywhere I call say the ones they have are too small to know what sex they are.

I've even resulted to looking at places online like spider shop but they all say unsexed.

I'm guessing it's because these are really slow growers and the breeders want to sell them as quickly as possible.

Any tips on finding one ?
Email the online places & ask them if they can sex any. Sometimes you get lucky if they have large juvs or sub adults, when some have moulted & can be sexed. Mexican red knees are not particularly slow growers, btw.
Thanks, that's what I've been doing

The spider shop says they have 2 year old 6cm red knees in stock but they can't sex them.

At 2 years, if it turns out to be a male then he will only live another 3 years if I'm lucky 😞

Well guys I think I'm back on the hunt (or am in being hunted...lol)

I tried calling exotic-animals.co.uk but they didn't answer the phone, later on u recived a text message asking me what I needed.

I said I just wanted a bit more information on the female smithi they have for sale. He then sent me a text saying he doesn't think he has any more in stock But he would check and let me know when he got home.

Since then I've sent a few more texts but I don't get a reply.

So if anyone knows anywhere else then please let me know

Try BugzUk.

Thanks

I've actually already sent them a message asking if they have any female's but they haven't got back to me yet.

Do you think £46.00 delivered is a bit on the high side?
