Default Black spider with 8 red dots...

I saw this earlier near where I was in the garden, took a picture and 5 minutes later got a sting on the base of my foot.
The pain has gone and no swelling etc so all is well.

Just really intrigued as to what this is? I saw this in Somerset today 🙂

Need to see the pic. If it's what it sounds like- a Malmignatte widow- they're as dangerous as black widows & are a European species of them. They come from France & Spain, but could be imported in fruit/veg, or from a visiting ship. If that's what it is, you need to go to A&E & tell them exactly what bit you. Did it look like this?

Hi, I don't thi k it is that. The red things were like little blobs. And not just on the body but look to be on the head as well.

Those look like mites infesting it. Not a Malmignatte then.

Great news, thanks!
There is always a chance I saw that spider and then just got nipped by an ant or something.
