been told those red ones don't seem to last so long in captivity compared to other species although I have no experience of them myself.

I have a black train millipede, a chocolate one and 2 olive ones. The olive ones don't grow very big but they seem more active than the others, and they're quite cute.

they are cool, the olives also live better communal IME.
i kept them seperate for a week and neither moved, then together they were alot more active.

They're all communal now They all live together in a RUB about 24" x 12" along with a few Pachnoda beetle grubs.

They don't really interact as they have loads of space. I might separate the olives into a smaller box though as they're a pair and if they have babies I want to be able to find them!

I used to have over 40 millipedes. My red fire one only lived for a little over a month, I was gutted. I'd recommend giant chocolates, they're very impressive and a lovely colour.

Those are very overpriced, have you tried any other sources? Put a wanted ad on here, i'm sure you could get some at a fraction of the price!
