The double set of spurs in Iridopelma could be an novel development within that evolution of that genus but some Diplurid genera from down under (Allothele Namirea Australothele Euagrus Phyxioschema) also have a tibial spur on leg II so it maybe something a common ancestor to both the modern Dipluridae and Theraphosidae had at some time and has now returned in two now separate lineages.
But you are 100% correct as current info stands only Iridopelma have a tibal spur on leg II within the Theraphosidae find that and you are home and dry, but it goes without saying checking the whole key for that subfamily would be the correct way to be sure of ID.
Edit: A few of those Diplurid's are not just from Australia
