Default Silverfish

I have found quite a few of these around the house recently. I caught a pretty big one this morning!
I am just wondering if they do any harm to the house? Eating things or causing structural damage or anything?
They are pretty freaky aswell, I don't like how fast they move!
Cheers

Silverfish are relatively harmless. We have them in our house too and my dad, whos a health and hygiene inspector said that there nothing to worry about and wont do any harm to you or your home

I think they just like warm dry conditions. They are often found in places like bakeries, probably living off crumbs

Feed them to your mantids!

I remember from school i think they eat matter, dust, fluff, rotting stuff like woodlouse and like dark dampish places...we used to have them in our stone fireplace though, not awfully damp or dark when lit
