Default When is a T big enough for a small water dish?

Hi all

As the title says, what size does a T need to be to have a small water bowl in its enclosure?

I have two little slings and I'm gently misting their substrate. I know it's going to be a long time before they are ready for a small dish. My adult G rosea has a small dish. I have read loads of care guides and can't find the answer to my question.

They have to be big enough to be able to get out. I use a pop bottle cap on anything small ( slings just mist) If you are worried fill with some little stones so spider can get out

What Teeny said
I also use pop bottle lids, as well as milk bottle lids and coffee jar lids.
I gave my OHs GBB sling a milk bottle lid when it was about 1", the dish is the same size as the T but very shallow

Hi, the general rule is 3inch legspan, if your spider is smaller than that ,just mist and keep a check on your humidity, slings moult more often ,so you need to keep an eye on the humidity, if its to low youre asking for trouble gazganoo.

Thanks for the replies guys. The pop bottle cap is an excellent idea.

I give a milk bottle top to spiders once their legspan is big enough for them to be able to stand over it rather than in it.
