I am a new snake owner and am noticing these red spots under my 4 month old corn snake's belly. My snake is otherwise active and seems healthy. What is this? HelP!
I've noticed some different colours on Ludwik's belly, the first half is fine with black and white scales. Towards the back end though, the colours arent as distinctive and he appears milky from certain angles.
Last shed was a week ago and it was clean.
Is this something to worry about?
hi, so recently i got a new africain house snake(and ive made a thread for a concern already), but ive noticed from the anus scale to the tip of his tail he's slightly red on his belly (which is to say everything inbetween that scale and his head are fine), this is my first time with a pet snake...
I fed my corn snake two fuzzies on the 14.02.15 and she was fine, pooped and everything as normal, but then the next feed i only had one mouse left so i just gave her one which was on the 22.02.15 and she didnt poop at all that week, i thought maybe its just because the meal was significantly...
Managed to breed my FBTs over the summer. I'm in the process of setting up a new viv as I will be keeping a few of the newcomers in a 90wX45dX45h exo-terra.
I'm going for a 50/50 water and land setup and have a few questions.

I'm making a set up for a yellow bellied slider and I have everything I need so far except for the lights and substrate. What substrate would you recommend for the sliders basking area? (It will be completely out of the water area) And also what lights would you recommend me getting? (Minimum...
Hi all, new to this section. Recently rescued a yellow belly terrapin which I believe to be a female. Has a stouter head than what I have seen for a male and the front claws are shorter. The cloaca is thick but the overall tail length isnt very long so mayne im wrong. The thing is he/she was...
One of my new little corn snakes has developed a bump in the stomach. Around her middle, towards the back of the stomach, but before the gut I'd estimate (about where the just-eaten-bump is after you feed). I'd say it felt about the size of a peanut and rather hard.
I fed her sunday...
First of all let me say I am a newbie within this forum so I do apologise in advance if I do not follow any forum posting etiquette(If there is one!).
I bought two yellow belly sliders around October time from what was supposed to be a reputable pet shop. I have now learned that...

Really easy to keep and breed and can be kept indoors or out (in a suitable enclosure). As you can see from the picture, they are starting to colour up, the parents bellies are...
