  1. Shelled - Turtles & Tortoise
I am in the process of moving my tortoises outdoor enclosure to a new patch in the garden but after digging it out I have come across rather a few Stag Beetle Larvae. Does anyone know if these can be bad for tortoises?

Hi All, I love geckos and have had a couple in the past. I was out in my garage, when i came back i saw a baby gecko. I decided to catch him in my cricket pen. He is very small and i have everything he needs. I quickly made a home for him heat mat, calcium, water, food etc etc however i...
  3. Habitat
Ok so, this is a bit of an odd situation. To cut a long story short, I created a large bioactive setup, decided after a few months that I didn't like how it was going, and tore it all down. The animals have been returned to a standard setup, and I'm left with a huge amount of seeded substrate...
  4. Snakes
I'm hoping to attract some snakes to my garden, as we see them very rarely here and I'm interested in photographing them. It seems that sheets of tin are the best bet, but with the temperature fluctuating between 28 and 38C (I live in the south of France), surely the snakes don't want to get any...
  5. Shelled - Turtles & Tortoise
So, I took spud (my hermanns tortoise) outside for the first time yesterday. He loved it! However, I have been told its hard for hermanns to digest grass and if i put him down he runs straight to the grass and eats it :gasp: Should I let him or move him away? Thanks :D

  10. Lizards
An old friend of mine found this in her garden today and asked me what it might be. I thought the body/head was similar to that of a skink, but it has iguana like feet!? Any ideas? Their family dont like reptiles so i think they took the photo and ran a mile. Just wondering out of interest what...
  11. DWA Species
Haven't kept any venomous since 2008 due to getting married and my kids being born. Now they are a little older I'm thinking about getting back into it but but this time I'm thinking about designing a hot room outside in my garden. Maybe a metal shed 10'x8', insulating it and make a double door...

First of all I'm not 100% sure this is in the right section of the forum but as it is a habitat I thought this was the closest match :) Walked into my local Morrisons today and stumbled across these beauty's :no1: I wanted one of those and was prepared to fork out a tenner on one when...
