My common boa is in a 4x2x2 viv which is currently heated by a 150w ceramic heater (with a guard and thermostat of course). I'm wondering if I can lag the viv so as to heat it more efficiently and thereby reduce heating costs. Anybody tried this or what could you use to achieve good results? Thanks.

Just set up my 4x2x2 viv for a bearded dragon. How long does it take to heat up? It's been on about 6hrs and its only on 20c in the middle, thermostat is on about 36c. Am I being impatient. Should I wack the thermostat up full then turn it down when it's got up to temperature?
