I'm working towards getting a corn snake, I've made my viv (just need the glass for the front and a runner) and planted it up.
But before I get a critter to put in it - does anyone have any recommendations on insurance? I'm in the UK and I'm not overly concerned about insuring...
Hi, I recently got my first corn snake and I am looking into getting her insured. Can anyone give me any advice regarding the subject? even if its just good or bad experiences of certain companies. Thanks for your time, I hope to hear from you all and I hope this helps someone else out too.
I want to set up my own reptile home boarding service, not to make money, I'd be happy turning a loss. I want to do it because I enjoy caring for reptiles.
I need some advice, however, as I have no idea how to start a "business" or how to pursue certain things like insurance. Can anyone here...

I've never had insurance, for any of my snakes, and, have always been lucky. I've never been in a position where I've thought "oh,I wish I had insurance for my snakes..."
I am aware,that...
I was wondering if you can even get pet insurance on reptiles? And if so has anyone got it on theirs? I have always believed investing in pet insurance for animals is great because a sick animal can be so costly.
Ok so i'm curious. I'll be getting a new snake next month, and because of previous ones escaped and promptly hung themselves in teeny tiny gaps [They ARE escape artists after all!] I've been considering Reptile insurance.
The snake it'self is costing £20, and it's a creamsilce. The insure is...

Just thought I'd ask everyones opinion on reptile insurance. Arguments for and against, recommendations on suppliers etc. Just trying to gauge whether it's cost effective to get my whole collection insured.
There's a local charity event happening locally to me, so I volunteered to be able to take my animals down. I have obviously looked into it further, but assumed as she was asking around for someone with these sorts of animals, she had insurance covered.
What sort of insurance do I need for this...
Just been browsing this subject and decided to get a quote, and to cover 3 cresties, giant madagascan day gecko & a bosc monitor i was quoted £39 a year. This covers theft, death, vets bills up to £255.
