I got my first Leo toady, it is 1 year old but obviously I tried feeding her but I think she's a little stressed so I'm not gonna bother with her right now, when is a leopard gecko a juvenile? it's around 15-20 cm right now so how many mealworms should I feed her? thanks

My crested gecko, Fig, will not eat insects. I've tried to feed him crickets, dead and alive, with tongs multiple times in the past when I still fed crickets to my tarantula. He never showed interest. Recently, I started my own mealworm colony for my tarantula and tonight was the fourth time...

Hi. I was going to call this looking after crickets but ultimately I'm feeding them (or my son is feeding them) to the gecko. The first lot were OK for a couple of weeks - then started to die off massively - 90% of those remaining died - and reptile shop was closed so bought another lot of...

Just recently closed down a store and previously got trade price livefood from Peregrine and Monkfield who will no longer supply us unless we sell them our own bred offspring for peanuts. So looking for ideas on who to use for good quality livefood at fair price. looking at about 40 boxes plus...

Hello, I cannot find any information online but i bought mealworms for my crested gecko and I have loads left over which are growing, I don’t want to dispose of them in a bin or anything as that seems cruel so I was wondering if I could just let them go? I live in the UK and it is currently...

Hi all, Yesterday I cleaned out the container I keep the mealworms in, after finishing I dried it off, put a few chunks of carrot in and then put the mealworms back in, they were eating away, happy days. When I woke up today however, I had a look to see how they were doing and pretty much all...

Just throwing this out there, on the very slim off chance. Anyone know of a mealworm supplier within the ROI, please? I know where to get them, from UK. Just wondered is there was anyone here I had missed. Thanks.

Hi there, I've been getting mealworm 'pre-packs' from the local petstore for a few months now with no issue- I bought a pack last week that I've been using to feed my two leopard gex. Only today have I discovered small black bugs in the tub of mealworms? They look as though they might have...

I have had some problems with meal worms since I've had my gecko. I found that the feces tend to build up and it sticks to the worms, I don't claim to be an expert but I assume this is not beneficial for my Leo! Basically I was wondering if a detritivore, like woodlice or spring tails, would...

Okay, so I just signed up to this forum thing so I'm still learning how to work it, pardon me if I'm a bit slow when replying and stuff. As well as this, I'm very new to the reptile world, I got my first leopard gecko on Thursday after falling in love with the leo at college where I study animal...

So I just wanted a bit of confirmation that i'm looking after my mealworms properly as I've noticed today that they're dying quite quickly. 1. I put carrot in once every few days, should I be doing it more or less frequently? 2. I'm using bug grub to help gut load them before giving them to...

So I brought home my new (and first) Leopard Gecko on Saturday, he's 3 years old and had to be rehomed as he wasn't getting the attention he needed. His previous owners gave me all of their supplies, crickets, Nutrobal, Repti-Calcium, and I bought some Bug Grub today. I've switched him to...

so i have heard that mealworms arent good as lizards struggle to digest the exo skeleton, but how come most people feed their leopard gecko's mealworms, is their digestive better than that of beardies?
