    Woohoo I checked on my Peruphasma schultei stick insect today, and it has moulted to adult :D As I unscrewed the lid of the Jungle Jar, it curled it's tail and flashed those gorgeous red wings!!

    Varying sizes from new hatchlings to starting to get their wing buds (2-3moults til adult, I think). Feed on privet, Lonicera sp, honeysuckle and lilac. Females get to about 7cm, males about 6cm. Warning: this species can spray a nasty liquid from glands just behind the head when agitated...
