So after having a reasonable amount of success with my mossy viv I decided to put an old fish tank to use. It was an Aquaone Aquanano 40 which is roughly a 45cm cube but has curved corners at the front.
I fancied something to do whilst I save up pennies for my Biopod and since it will take...
Ive had my iguana for about 1 year now and decided to upgrade her vivarium. I built her a much bigger walk in vivarium and now want to fill it with live plants. I was wondering is Madagascan Bamboo Okay? Is she able to eat it without any problems. I doubt that she will eat the plants...
Just wondering would I be able to put Drosera aliciae/Alice Sundew in a vivarium with pygmy chameleons?
I don't think they could cause harm, but was just wondering if it's not advised to,
any help/suggestions would be good!
Can anyone recommend house plants that are safe for a home with an iguana?
There are plants in the front room which Stork sometimes makes a beeline for, I don't know if they're safe for her to eat or not so I'd rather replace them with something that's safe it she decides to munch on it

I have heard that these guys are quite rare up north. There is a site close to where I live, where there is a very strong population. I have visited the site for the past 7 or so years and always went to see some of the more commoner species of orchid (Marsh, Common Spotted and Pyramid). I had...
Can anyone tell me what these are and if they are tortoise safe.
Appologies for the pictures as it's not one of my strong points and my phone wouldn't let me use the flash at the time because of low battery, so if you need better pics let me know and I'll try again.
Hi I'm new here, and this is my first post.
I have a reasonable amount of keeping reptiles, but I'm in the middle of setting up my first planted vivarium. It's a Viv set up for water dragons so high humidity. I'm struggling to find information on a few of the plants I like. I really like the...
Thinking of putting a tree type plant in my yemens flexarium just for the look really as it already has tones of logs and branches but all the threads seem to say pothos/ficus but they also seem to indicate that they can be harmful if eaten. What would be best?
Am I right in thinking that these plants would be safe
THE BAMBOO PALM-Chamaedorea seifrizii
And Rhapis exelsa - Lady Palm
and maybe something like the bonsai pony tail palm
I'd have to check if they would be happy with the conditions but they arent toxic are they?

I found it in the pet shop after the owner got a box of tropical seedlings/small plants, thought it looked nice and i got it.
Does anyone know what it's called? Preferably with the Latin name as well.
It's quite distinctive - hopefully someone will know.
