Trying to work out what my options are. Can anyone with experience of sand boas give a run down of what species you'd recommend to keep or avoid?
I'm not too worried about biteyness. Important characteristics are decent enough feeders, and remaining small.
My current understanding:
So as the title suggests I recently noticed my sand boa's head/neck area is gone a bit wrinkly, this is the first time I noticed this.
She went into shed almost two weeks ago now, I didn't notice this when she was in blue, this happend a bit after that phase, ive only noticed these wrinkles the...
I just switched to a sand/soil mix today looking for a more natural look, but it's after driving the humidity way up, 87% at the moment with slight condensation on the glass.
The substrate was a pre made arid mix I bought and im just wondering is this safe for the snake and how long do you...
Was thinking of moving my sand boa onto a natural type substrate, something desert/Savannah like, I was looking at this brand
Anyone ever use this before? if so does it hold burrows well...
so I got Wyrm, the male Saharan sand boa, from a reptile expo on August 25th, 2019
At the time of posting this, it's almost been two months and he hasn't eaten at all.
He pooped when I first got him, about 8/27, so he had eaten before.
leaving him in a deli cup with a f/t (both...
Male Anery Sand Boa for sale.
Have had him since September 2015, was intending to breed but lost interest so he has been kept as a pet since then.
Very tame, has never struck at me and always feeds well.
I'm looking for a Kenyan Sand Boa, gender isn't an issue at all.
I'm just wanting to add a beautiful snake to the family.
I don't drive so someone close where I can get a lift to or I can pay gas money to be dropped off.
So my other half is taking on a sand boa for the first time, we've got much larger boas already but havent had any hands on experience.
He's taken on board the care sheets since they are few and far between but I wanted to ask some keepers who've had an actual hands on experience.
Hello everyone, I've come here to ask for help in why my sand boa won't eat. I'm not sure what specification of Sand Boa she is due to me getting her from my uncle, so please try to help me even without that information.
My uncle had her for over a year and has been feeding her Pinkies on a...
I need help!
I have a female Kenyan Sand Boa who is a fe months old, she has just recently shed and her feeding day is three days away. She is usually perfectly calm, letting me touch her and help her with things like stuck shed. She was an angel snake.
But, I went to check up on her today and...
Ok so here's the gist. I got a KSB from a reptile show back in November. Bought a pinkie at the show because they're hard to get around me. Obviously didn't eat it. Breeder told me they had eaten a week ago so I wasn't too worried. Raised ball pythons all my life and never had a problem with...
Im based in Nottinghamshire and willing to travel- I desperately would like a kenyan sand boa but struggling to get one. Im interested in snows, albinos, nuclear (the high orangey reds) and anerys if anyone can help me!?
This will be my first snake but I'm very avid in my research...
I purchased a juvenile Kenyan sand boa from a shop on November 24th.
They offer a 30 day return policy. We're newbie snake owners in Florida, USA.
The snake hasn't eaten since it's come into my care.
I've tried everything.
I've been feeding in a separate tote from it's...

Hope someone that knows the score can help.. I've been offered a Kenyan Sand Boa X Salmon Boa hybrid. I've looked everywhere and only found one post which says it's never been done (implying it can't be done!). So is the chap selling this snake "misinformed" or could it actually be possible...
Ive looked at a lot of videos and on various websites but i cant seem to find a definitive answer for this. Do kenyans need a heat lamp, a heat mat, or both?
Also im assuming sand isnt a suitable substrate due to risk of impaction, correct?
Finally, are they especially skittish? Like if I were...
Hi I bought a 1 year old rough-scaled sand boa in June from the Doncaster Reptile Show. Ever since I've had him he has refused to eat and it will be his 3rd month of fasting.
His temperatures seem fine - 30°C in the hot end and 22 ° C in the cool end. He is in a 18 x 6 x 11.5 inch monkfield...
